Couple Receives Short Sentence After Infant Drowns in Bathtub

In Cincinnati, a couple pleaded guilty after their infant son drowned in an unattended baby bathtub in May 2025. Under a plea agreement, they will serve 90 days at River City Correctional Center and five years of probation. According to the Hamilton County prosecutor, the parents left the baby alone in the tub and only checked on him when a third person asked about his whereabouts. They found the child face down and unresponsive. Involuntary manslaughter charges were dismissed as part of the plea deal.
