Barau Coach Agagbe Rates Ikorodu City Above Sporting Lagos After 1-1 Draw
Barau FC coach Eugene Agagbe has rated Ikorodu City higher than Sporting Lagos after his side’s 1-1 NPFL draw with Sporting Lagos at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. Joseph Atule gave Barau the lead from the penalty spot in the 35th minute. Sporting Lagos levelled in the 61st minute through Sodiq Ayoade to earn a point at home. Agagbe said Ikorodu City were more organised and posed a greater attacking threat when Barau faced them. He criticised Sporting Lagos for lacking coordination in the final third, while defending Barau’s cautious approach in away matches. The draw kept Barau unbeaten after six league matches and at the top of the table.
