FG Announces 30-Day Petrol Discount for Public Transport Operators
The Federal Government has announced a 30-day petrol discount through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, with public transport operators set to receive priority nationwide. The government said the arrangement is not a return to the fuel subsidy regime. Instead, petrol will be sold at cost through NNPCL outlets for the period. The announcement comes as pump prices differ across locations. NNPCL’s reported prices list petrol at ₦1,355 per litre in Lagos and Rivers, and ₦1,370 per litre in Abuja.
