Yobe Hisbah Commission Bans Mixed-Gender and Night Gatherings for Sallah

Yobe Hisbah Commission Bans Mixed-Gender and Night Gatherings for Sallah

The Yobe State Hisbah Commission has announced an immediate ban on male-female interactions, night gatherings and all public events in the state. The move aims to address security concerns and reinforce Islamic moral values. Dr. Yahuza Hamza Abubakar, the Executive Chairman, said the directive covers inappropriate male-female interactions, reckless driving and any Sallah-related events that conflict with Sharia law. Event centre owners must comply or face sanctions. The commission has called on community leaders, parents and youth groups to support the new regulations and ensure full compliance across Yobe State.
