How Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Nnamdi Kanu Exploit Real Grievances for Violence
South Africa’s protest leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Nigeria’s Nnamdi Kanu both spotlight genuine social failures. Yet neither offers real solutions. They rally followers with threats and deadly force instead of pursuing reforms. Ngobese-Zuma blames Black foreigners for immigration delays caused by her government’s slow processing. Kanu highlights Igbo marginalization under Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution. Both dodge root-cause fixes to advance their own power. This strategy tears communities apart and feeds negative stereotypes abroad. It ignores the need for systemic reforms: speed up immigration services in South Africa and renegotiate Nigeria’s constitutional framework for equity. Beyond protests, Africans must invest in their ancestral lands. Strengthening local governance and public services can prevent future unrest and protect every community’s safety and prosperity.
