Onuachu Scores Brace in Trabzonspor Rout but Leaves Match Injured
Paul Onuachu ended a five-match scoring drought with two goals as Trabzonspor defeated Genclerbirligi 5-0 in the Turkish Super Lig. The Nigerian striker opened the scoring with a fifth-minute header and added another from close range in the 22nd minute. He was forced off in the 44th minute after picking up an injury. The injury is a concern for the Super Eagles ahead of their 2027 AFCON qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Victor Osimhen is also currently sidelined with a groin injury.
