Chelle: Super Eagles Will Not Underestimate Guinea-Bissau in AFCON Qualifier

Super Eagles coach Éric Chelle says Nigeria will approach Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau with focus and respect. Chelle noted that Guinea-Bissau, known as the Djurtus, won away in Tanzania on Friday and will be confident at home in Bissau. He said Nigeria must show a strong mentality and perform at their best to secure all three points. The coach also played down concerns about the condition of the 24 September Stadium pitch. All 24 invited Super Eagles players took part in Monday evening’s official training session at the venue.
