Basketball Dribbling: Essential Techniques for Better Ball Control
Dribbling allows a basketball player to move with the ball by bouncing it continuously with one hand. Use your fingertips rather than your palm for stronger control. When moving past a defender, keep the ball in the hand farthest from them. Learning to dribble confidently with both hands makes it harder for opponents to predict or steal the ball. Keep your dribble low, change direction quickly and practise moves such as crossovers, behind-the-back dribbles and between-the-legs dribbles. Skilled players keep their heads up while dribbling so they can spot teammates, scoring chances and approaching defenders.
