NFL Suspends Two Officials After Separate Confrontations With Players
The NFL has suspended line judge Jeff Seeman for two games and referee Adrian Hill for one game after separate incidents involving players during Sunday’s matches. Seeman was sanctioned after an exchange with Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during the Cardinals’ game against the New York Giants. Footage showed the official shouting at McBride after the player protested what he believed was interference. Hill was suspended following an incident in the Miami Dolphins’ game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was knocked down after Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon pushed Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson into him after a play had ended. The NFL Players Association said officials should face the same accountability expected of players.
