Haaland’s Former Molde Teammate Predicts Eventual Real Madrid Move

Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who played with Erling Haaland at Molde, believes the Manchester City striker could eventually join Real Madrid. Eikrem said Haaland would fit in at the Spanish club because of its global stature and the quality of players around him. He also described the Norwegian forward as humble, hardworking and unlikely to cause dressing-room problems. Former Borussia Dortmund president Hans-Joachim Watzke has expressed a similar view, saying Haaland admires Real Madrid. However, any move is unlikely soon, as Haaland signed a new Manchester City contract in January 2025 that runs until 2034. A transfer would likely require a record-breaking fee, given Haaland's importance to City and his achievements since joining the club.
