Wike Declares Rift With Fubara Over, Calls for Unity in Rivers
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says his political feud with Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara has ended, urging supporters on both sides to embrace peace and reconciliation. Speaking in Port Harcourt, Wike said the prolonged crisis harmed Rivers State and that both leaders must now work together. He said a committee has been set up to engage stakeholders and support the peace process. Wike also praised the compromise behind the truce and said a peaceful atmosphere would allow Fubara to focus on governance. The reconciliation follows Fubara’s support for the Rainbow Coalition and his endorsement of APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda as his preferred successor.
