Edo Queens Beat Ampem Darkoa on Penalties to Win WAFU B Women’s Champions League
Edo Queens have won the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League after beating Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies 4-1 on penalties following a dramatic 2-2 draw in the final. Beline Nyarko gave Ampem Darkoa an early lead, but Doosuur Anastasia Atume equalised two minutes later. Nyarko scored again late in the match before Oluebube Umejiaku struck deep into stoppage time to force penalties. Edo Queens converted all four of their spot-kicks, while Ampem Darkoa scored once from three attempts. The victory sends the Nigerian champions to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi was named Player of the Tournament, while Atume finished as the competition’s top scorer to win the Golden Boot.
