WAFCON 2026: Nnadozie, Ijamilusi Back Super Falcons to Beat Egypt Convincingly
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie says Nigeria are determined to beat Egypt convincingly in their final Group C match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The defending champions revived their quarter-final hopes with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zambia after a shock 3-2 opening defeat to tournament debutants Malawi. A positive result against Egypt on Wednesday will secure Nigeria’s place in the knockout stage. Nnadozie said the Falcons must score goals, with the group still open and the outcome of the Zambia-Malawi match also important. China-based striker Folashade Ijamilusi also stressed that Nigeria need all three points and a strong goal return against the Cleopatras.
