FGN Offers ₦1 Trillion in 10-Year and 15-Year Bonds for September Subscription
The Debt Management Office has opened subscription for two Federal Government of Nigeria bonds worth a combined ₦1 trillion. The offer includes a new 10-year bond due in September 2036, valued at ₦400 billion, and a reopening of a 15-year bond due in 2038, valued at ₦600 billion with a 15.45% annual coupon rate. The bonds are priced at ₦1,000 per unit, with a minimum subscription of ₦50 million. Interest will be paid twice yearly, while investors will receive their principal at maturity. FGN bonds are government-backed securities listed on the Nigerian Exchange and FMDQ. They are also eligible investments for pension funds, trustees and banks under applicable regulations.
