Oyetola Hosts APC Elders in Osun Unity Drive Ahead of 2026 Governorship Poll
The Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and APC leader in Osun State, Dr. Adegboyega Oyetola, intensified political consultations over the weekend. He welcomed party elders, former legislators, support groups and key stakeholders to his country home in Iragbiji, Boripe LGA. The meetings aimed to consolidate party unity and build grassroots momentum for the August 15, 2026 governorship election. Dr. Oyetola urged elders to close ranks and deepen mobilization across the state. He expressed confidence in the APC’s candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, praising his leadership qualities and broad-based support. The minister also stressed that preparations for 2026 must align with strategies for the 2027 general elections. Alongside political talks, Dr. Oyetola hosted a special prayer marking his mother’s 15th death anniversary and presided over the Ileri Oluwa Annual Ramadan lecture. Both events drew dignitaries, religious and community leaders, and residents from across Osun State.
