Oshiomhole Says Tinubu’s N70,000 Worker Allowance Shows He Cares
Adams Oshiomhole says the Federal Government’s N70,000 monthly transport allowance shows President Tinubu cares about Nigerian workers. The Edo North senator made the comment during an interview on Channels Television, arguing that the payment would significantly increase the income of some workers and urging Nigerians to appreciate the administration’s policies. The allowance is set to run for six months from November 2026. The agreement also provides for outstanding peculiar allowances to be paid in three monthly instalments. The Trade Union Congress has rejected the temporary transport support, saying workers need a permanent salary increase instead.
