Barcelona Beat 10-Man Real Betis 5-2 to Match Historic LaLiga Start

Barcelona maintained their perfect LaLiga start with a dramatic 5-2 win over Real Betis in Seville, matching Real Madrid’s 58-year-old record of nine straight league victories at the start of a season. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring with a superb long-range strike, but Betis hit back through Valentin Gomez. Barcelona regained the lead through Rodri before a late first-half VAR decision ruled out Giovani Lo Celso’s volley for a handball in the build-up. Gabriel Jesus made it 3-1 shortly after the restart, but Abde Ezzalzouli quickly pulled one back for Betis. The hosts’ hopes faded when Facundo Bernal was sent off for headbutting Yamal. Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo then added late goals to seal Barcelona’s win.
