Igbo Community Urges South-East Governors to Deploy Armed Forest Guards After Enugu Church Attack

The Igbo Community Association in the FCT has urged South-East governors to establish and deploy armed forest guards following the recent attack on a Catholic church in Enugu State. The association said the growing insecurity in the South-East requires urgent action to protect rural and urban communities. It called on governors across the region to fill what it described as a security vacuum and prevent further attacks. The group said it supports lawful, state-led security measures and urged governors not to wait for the proposed implementation of state policing before acting to safeguard lives and property.
