My Alleged Encounter With a Landlady in Senegal That Tested My Christian Faith
I am sharing a personal experience from my two years in Senegal. As a Christian, I believe there is more to life than what we can see, including both God’s power and spiritual evil. I moved from Dakar to a tourist village while looking for affordable accommodation and work as a painter and sculptor. After struggling to find a suitable room, I met an elderly foreign client and his Senegalese wife, who bought several of my artworks and offered to help me find a place to stay. They eventually showed me an unused room in the wife’s mother’s compound. The compound looked decent, but moving there marked the beginning of what I describe as a serious spiritual battle. This is the first part of my story.
