Nigerian Troops Rescue 32 Hostages, Neutralise Two Terrorists in Katsina Operation
Troops from Sector 2 of Joint Task Force FANSAN YAMMA and Katsina State Community Watch Corps carried out a dawn raid at Dikawa Village in Matazu LGA. After receiving credible intelligence, they engaged terrorists in a fierce gun battle that forced the attackers to flee and abandon 32 captives. Security forces neutralised two terrorists and destroyed their hideouts. They rescued nine men, 10 women and 13 children. Recovered items included rifles, ammunition, a machine-gun component, a hand grenade, motorcycles and 26 rustled livestock. The rescued victims are receiving medical care, and the military urged residents to keep sharing reliable information.
