Galatasaray Coach Says Osimhen’s Absence Was Felt in Narrow Kocaelispor Win
Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk says the team missed Victor Osimhen in their 1-0 home win over Kocaelispor. Centre-back Abdulkerim Bardakci scored the decisive goal 19 minutes from full-time. Osimhen has missed Galatasaray’s last two matches after picking up an injury in the club’s 3-2 victory over Istanbul Başakşehir on September 4. Buruk said Osimhen gives the side more than goals. According to him, the Nigerian striker improves their pressing and creates a psychological advantage against opponents. He added that Galatasaray have quality options, but are stronger with Osimhen available.
