ASUU Begins Indefinite Strike at LASU, LASUED and LASUSTECH
Academic activities have been suspended at Lagos State University, Lagos State University of Education and Lagos State University of Science and Technology after ASUU declared an immediate, indefinite strike. The union said the Lagos State Government failed to respond meaningfully to its 14-day ultimatum over the domestication and implementation of the December 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement. The demands include payment of the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance and other welfare provisions for serving and retired lecturers. ASUU said the action was not directed at the managements of the three universities. It urged students to remain peaceful and said classes would resume once the state government reaches a satisfactory agreement with the union.
