Kano Woman Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Husband to Death Two Months After Wedding
Fatima, a housewife in Kano State, allegedly stabbed her husband Auwalu to death on Sunday, June 14, 2026. The couple had been married for less than two months. Sources say the attack followed an argument over a forced marriage. Neighbours told authorities the pair were not in love when they wed and that tensions had been growing since the ceremony. During the argument at Rimin Kebe quarters in Ungoggo Local Government Area, the wife is said to have struck her husband in the throat with a knife. He cried for help but died before he reached the hospital. Officers from Zango Police Division in Dantamashe arrested the suspect at the scene. She remains in custody as investigations continue.
