Nigeria’s Green Hawks Set for First Netball World Cup Qualifiers in Nairobi
Nigeria’s first official national netball team, the Green Hawks, will compete at the 2026 Africa Regional Qualifiers for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Nairobi. Drawn in Pool 2, Nigeria will face hosts Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia. The team will be competing for one of two available qualification places for the World Cup in Sydney. The Nigeria Netball Federation says the Green Hawks are travelling to challenge established teams and begin building Nigeria’s presence in African and global netball. Their opening match is against Kenya.
