Morocco Sweep Nigeria 4-0 to End Davis Cup World Group II Run
Morocco defeated Nigeria 4-0 in their Davis Cup World Group II tie in Rabat, ending Nigeria’s bid to reach the 2027 World Group I Play-offs. Karim Bennani beat Canice Abua 6-1, 6-2, while Yassine Dlimi defeated Yusuf Abubakar by the same score on the opening day. Morocco then sealed the tie when Walid Ahouda and Younes Lalami won the doubles match 6-3, 6-2 against Michael Emmanuel and Abubakar. Amine Jamji completed the sweep with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Emmanuel. Nigeria, whose preparations were affected by player withdrawals, will remain in the World Group II play-offs next year.
