Fatal Thunderstorm in Adamawa Claims Six Young Lives, Leaves Two Injured

On Sunday afternoon, July 19, a sudden thunderstorm struck Dadiri community in the Tirgili district of Ganye LGA, Adamawa State. Eight children playing outdoors were caught in the storm. Six of them died instantly at the scene. The two survivors sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care at a local hospital. The tragedy has plunged Dadiri, Tirgili and the wider Ganye Local Government Area into mourning. Community leaders are calling for improved early warning systems and safety measures.
