Bauchi: Two Police Applicants Arrested Over Forged NECO Results
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two police constable applicants for alleged certificate forgery during screening at the Police Training School, Bauchi. Police spokesperson Nafiu Habib disclosed this on Friday. The screening team, led by A. Y. Dickson, vetted 403 candidates. They included 354 for general duty and 49 specialists. Two suspects were found with forged NECO results. Both suspects share the name Yusuf Usman and had been moving together before their documents were flagged. They were handed over to the DPO of ‘E’ Division for further investigation. Habib warned applicants against fraud during recruitment. The screening is part of the nationwide intake of 50,000 police constables that commenced on Monday.
