Atiku’s Aide Demands Explanation for Tinubu’s Reported UNGA Absence

Paul Ibe, media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has questioned reports that President Bola Tinubu may not attend the United Nations General Assembly. Ibe said the reported change of plans was difficult to reconcile with the administration’s diplomatic engagements in the United States, including lobbying efforts and discussions around a proposed Nigeria-US mining agreement. He also linked the issue to ongoing US Freedom of Information Act litigation seeking law-enforcement records concerning Tinubu. Ibe urged the Presidency to clearly explain the reason for the reported absence and the status of the planned diplomatic engagements.
