Three Missing Children Found Dead in Vehicle in Ghana’s Tamale Metropolis
Three children who went missing after leaving home for Islamic classes were found dead inside a parked Hyundai Tucson in the Koblimahagu Zuo community of Tamale, Ghana. The children were reported missing on October 4 and were discovered early the next morning in the vehicle, which police said had been stuck in mud for several days. The vehicle owner, an officer with the Ghana Immigration Service, has been taken into custody to assist investigators. The Northern Regional Police Command has opened an investigation and deployed homicide, forensic and intelligence personnel to examine the vehicle and establish the cause of death. The bodies have been taken to Tamale Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
