PRP Threatens Legal Action Over Kwankwaso’s Alleged Snatching of 69 Nomination Forms

PRP Threatens Legal Action Over Kwankwaso’s Alleged Snatching of 69 Nomination Forms

The Peoples Redemption Party says Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NDC vice-presidential candidate, secretly collected 69 nomination forms meant for PRP aspirants in Kano, causing chaos in the party. At a press briefing in Kano, PRP State Chairman Abdulkadir Musa Guza explained that party members paid for their forms at a retreat in Kaduna, only to be told someone had bought every form. Guza revealed that initial talks about a possible defection by Kwankwaso gave way to suspicion when days passed without further communication. The party now views the move as deliberate disruption of its candidate selection. PRP has warned it will sue Kwankwaso if he does not return the forms before INEC’s deadline. Hundreds of would-be candidates now face uncertainty over their political future.
