Blessings Don’t Come Cheap – Open Heavens Daily Devotional (March 24, 2026)
THEME: Blessings Don’t Come Cheap MEMORY VERSE: “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” (Exodus 23:25) In today’s reading (Genesis 22:1–18), Abraham showed that true blessing often demands deep obedience. He was ready to offer his only son, trusting God to provide. This highest form of blessing still stands for all who obey fully. I once stood at an airport with two heavy bags. One of my spiritual children helped me carry them. I blessed him but not the other who only greeted me. Like the fig tree in Mark 11, fruitfulness invites blessing; empty words do not. Key Point: Wholehearted service and sacrifice provoke God’s richest blessings. As you trust and obey, expect blessings that surpass your imagination.
