Aston Villa have reportedly submitted a €70 million bid for Chelsea and Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson, according to French outlet Foot Mercato. Chelsea are said to be close to agreeing a deal with Villa, although personal terms with Jackson have not yet been settled. The 24-year-old joined Chelsea from Villarreal and remains under a long-term contract. Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he recorded 11 goals and four assists in 34 appearances. The report says he is not in Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso’s plans for the new season.
