Court records reportedly show that Li faces two felony charges linked to an alleged hit-and-run in Los Angeles in November 2024. She has pleaded not guilty. A civil lawsuit alleges that the crash left another driver with serious and permanent injuries, and that Li and another man left the scene without calling emergency services. Records also show Li was previously married, which appears to conflict with the pageant's eligibility rules. Miss Grand USA has appointed first runner-up Victoria Oluwakotanmi, Miss Grand Indiana, as her replacement.
