Poly Ibadan Alumni Urged to Mentor Students and Support Department with Equipment

Lecturers and alumni of The Polytechnic, Ibadan have urged graduates to support their alma mater through equipment donations, mentorship and professional guidance for younger students. The call was made during the 20th anniversary reunion of the Mass Communication Department’s 2006 set in Ibadan. The alumni recently donated equipment to the department and said stronger ties between graduates, schools and industry could help address skills and infrastructure gaps. Speakers also encouraged young professionals to remain consistent in their careers, support colleagues who are still developing, and explore entrepreneurship despite limited conventional job opportunities.
