I have been researching remote work opportunities and noticed that many Nigerians want to work remotely but do not know where to begin. Beginner-friendly options include virtual assistance, customer service, social media management, data entry and content writing. These roles can involve managing emails and calendars, assisting customers, creating posts, organising records or writing articles and product descriptions. Learning relevant tools is also important. For virtual assistance, a beginner can start with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, Zoom and Slack. The main challenge is choosing one skill to focus on and finding legitimate opportunities after learning.
