Embracing New Life Through Sacrificial Death
Death often feels dark and painful. Yet God’s wisdom transforms it into a source of abundant life. Jesus spoke of destroying the temple only to raise it again in three days (John 2:19) and taught that a grain of wheat must fall and die before it can bear much fruit (John 12:24). Long before the world began, the Lamb of God was destined to be the ultimate sacrifice (Revelation 13). This divine plan secured a way to rescue humanity from eternal separation. Jesus embraced the agony of sacrificial death to inaugurate a new covenant that restores our relationship with God. This Good Friday, you are invited to surrender whatever hinders God’s eternal purpose in your life—be it a relationship, a comfort, or a habit. Embrace the pain of letting go, and you will witness new beginnings that last forever. Prayer: Father, I receive the grace to offer up all that must die so Your eternal purpose may flourish in my life. Further Reading: Hebrews 12:2; Bible Reading Plan – Judges 10-11 and Luke 8:26-56
