APC Secretary Dismisses Sowore’s Request to Launch Campaign at Aso Rock

APC National Secretary Ajibola Basiru has dismissed Omoyele Sowore’s request to launch his presidential campaign council at the Presidential Villa. Sowore, the African Action Congress presidential candidate, reportedly wrote to the Presidency seeking permission to use Aso Rock for the event and asking for refreshments for invited guests. Speaking on a television political programme, Basiru described the request as political theatre and argued that the AAC performed poorly in the 2023 elections.
