Salisu Yusuf Targets Stronger Shooting Stars Ahead of NPFL, CAF Campaigns
New Shooting Stars head coach Salisu Yusuf says he wants to make the Ibadan club stronger and more competitive across three competitions this season. The former Super Eagles coach joined 3SC on 14 August after guiding Coton Sport of Benin to second place in their league. He said the squad already has a solid foundation but will need hard work to meet the demands of the NPFL, President Federation Cup and CAF Confederation Cup. Shooting Stars begin their NPFL campaign against Inter Lagos at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Friday, 28 August 2026. Yusuf says securing a positive result in the opening match is an immediate priority.
