Gunmen Attack Operation Burst Outpost in Oyo, Burn Patrol Vehicle

Gunmen reportedly attacked an Operation Burst outpost on the Igbeti–Igboho Road in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State early on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The attackers allegedly set a building within the base and a patrol vehicle ablaze. The Oorelope Local Government Command said it received a distress call and deployed operatives with other security agencies to the area. The gunmen had fled before the security team arrived. A search operation was conducted, but no arrests were reported. No casualties were recorded.
