Army Rescues 23 Kidnap Victims on Kabba-Bunu Road, Recovers 2 Bodies and Vehicles
Troops of the Nigerian Army responded to a distress call on the Ayegunle–Bunu road in Kabba-Bunu LGA early Monday. They discovered two dead bodies, five injured passengers and two Toyota buses along with a truck abandoned by fleeing bandits. Follow-up operations by 12 Brigade led to the rescue of 23 kidnapped travellers. The injured were taken to St. Joseph Hospital, Kabba, for treatment. The Army says the assailants fled before troops arrived. Efforts continue to track the criminals and free any remaining captives.
