Why Did Jesus Ask the Rich Young Ruler to Sell Everything?
The account of the rich young ruler appears in Matthew 19, Mark 10 and Luke 18. The man leaves sorrowful because he has great wealth. How should Christians understand this teaching? If Jesus asked him to obey the commandments and follow Him, why was His death for sin still necessary?
