World Alzheimer’s Day: NOA Osun Urges Early Diagnosis and Support for Dementia Patients
The National Orientation Agency in Osun has marked World Alzheimer’s Day 2026 by urging families to seek early diagnosis for people showing possible signs of dementia. The agency said frequent memory loss, difficulty with familiar tasks, confusion, communication problems, and sudden mood or personality changes should not simply be dismissed as normal ageing. It noted that early diagnosis can help families access medical care, plan ahead, and make informed decisions. The public was also encouraged to support patients and caregivers with dignity, compassion, and without stigma.
