Police Nab Five Fake 'Civilian Joint Force' Operatives, Seize Pump-Action Rifles in Tai LGA
Operatives from the Rivers State Police intelligence unit raided Saakpenwa community in Tai Local Government Area and arrested five suspects. They allegedly belonged to an illegal security outfit calling itself Civilian Joint Force. During the operation, officers recovered three locally made pump-action rifles. Police say the group had no government approval and operated under the false pretext of providing security services. The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing and the protection of lives and property. Residents of Rivers State have been urged to remain vigilant and share credible information with security agencies.
