Did the Disciples of Jesus Teach His Death and Resurrection?

I noticed the Quran describes Jesus’ companions as believers and helpers (Surah 3:53). It calls them Muslims and faithful followers. If evidence shows these disciples taught that Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and is divine, would that challenge the Quran’s portrayal? Could such proof validate the Christian claim that Jesus is our Saviour? Christianity rests on the belief that Jesus’ sacrificial death redeemed humanity. If the earliest followers truly preached this, it reinforces the faith’s core doctrine.
