I have a girl in my neighbourhood who says she wants to cook for me and even take some food back to her place. She recently told me she’s broke and can’t afford to eat properly. She helps me with chores sometimes, and now she’s insisting on preparing a full meal at my home. It sounds kind, but I don’t trust people easily and I worry about safety and hygiene. Part of me thinks I could just send her money to buy her own food. I’m not looking for anything romantic—I just want to do the right thing. What would you do in my situation?
