Western Iyamu Hails Appointment Of Edoba Omorogie As UNIBEN New VC

> The Western Iyamu Global Foundation, has congratulated Prof. Edoba Bright Omoregie, SAN, on his “well-deserved appointment” as the 11th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin (UNIBEN). In a statement on Tuesday, the group eulogized Omoregie’s “exceptional academic distinction, outstanding leadership qualities and remarkable achievements, making him an exemplary figure in the academic community.” The statement reads in part, “His appointment underscores his commitment to excellence and dedication to the advancement of education. “On behalf of our Leader and Supremo, Amb. Western Iyamu, and Westerners worldwide, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Professor Omoregie as he assumes this noble role. “May his tenure be marked by unprecedented success, innovation and prosperity for the prestigious University of Benin.” The Westerners Group expressed confidence that, under Prof. Omoregie’s leadership, the University of Benin will soar to greater heights. “The Western Iyamu Global Foundation offers its support and partnership to UNIBEN in promoting educational excellence and community development initiatives under Professor Omoregie,” the statement added.
