Tompolo Hosts Dokubo-Asari at Gbaramatu Ijaw Cultural Fiesta

I attended a cultural gathering in Gbaramatu where Tompolo welcomed Amanyanabo Dokubo-Asari and his entourage. The visit included an invitation for the Agadagba of Gbaramatu to attend Se Diye on December 19, 2026, which he accepted. Gbaramatu dancers performed traditional songs and dances, followed by the Ogele Boys from Dokubo-Asari’s entourage. The performances brought together guests and residents to celebrate Ijaw culture and heritage. Several Ijaw chiefs and community figures were also present. The gathering ended before midnight, ahead of the visitors’ early departure the next morning. I stayed behind to witness an Egbesu worship service, which is a story for another day.
