Nigerian Pastor Questions Tonto Dikeh’s Spiritual Qualifications After Ministry Launch

A Nigerian pastor has criticised actress Tonto Dikeh over the launch of her Abuja-based ministry, New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle. The ministry is described as an interdenominational space for prayer, revival, spiritual training and the growth of believers. During a sermon, the pastor questioned Dikeh's spiritual qualifications to lead a prayer ministry. He also claimed that the rise of female church leaders has contributed to some women disrespecting their husbands. Dikeh, who now asks to be called Evangelist Tonto Dikeh, has publicly shared her Christian conversion journey. She has spoken about leaving behind addictions and other past behaviours, completing discipleship training, and dedicating herself to ministry.
