Ondo Amotekun Uncovers Alleged Self-Kidnap Plot, Arrests Four Suspects
The Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has arrested four people over an alleged self-kidnap plot said to have been staged through social media. The corps commander, Adetunji Adeleye, said one suspect reported the alleged kidnapping to the Amotekun office in Akure. Investigators later identified him as an accomplice and found the person claimed to have been kidnapped at his home. Amotekun also paraded other suspects linked to alleged offences, including seven people accused of kidnapping in the Akoko area. The corps said two kidnapped victims were rescued with machete wounds and are receiving medical care.
