Troops of Sector 2, Operation ENDURING PEACE, rescued a 37-year-old kidnapping victim during an operation near Kukawa village in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State. The man, who is from Furiyam in Kanam, was reportedly abducted from Duguri village in Bauchi State on August 6. He escaped from his captors but became stranded while wandering through Madam Forest. Troops found him at about 6:45 a.m. on August 10 and handed him over to the Kukawa village leader for reunification with his family. The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to track criminal groups and rescue victims in isolated forest areas.
